Water myths are stubborn little creatures. They sound reasonable, travel fast, and somehow survive every lab report sent to defeat them. Let us gently escort a few of them off the premises.
Myth 1: Clear water is clean water
Not always. Bacteria, nitrates and dissolved metals can be invisible. Clear is nice, but testing is better.
Myth 2: One filter fixes everything
Different contaminants need different treatment. Carbon, RO, UV and softening each have a job.
Myth 3: Borehole water is automatically pure
It may be excellent, but it may also contain iron, hardness, microbes or nitrates. Underground does not mean guaranteed.
Myth 4: Maintenance is optional
Filters collect what they remove. Eventually they need replacement, cleaning or service.
Myth 5: Bad taste is the only warning sign
Some serious issues have no taste at all. A water test is the adult in the room.
